To Hold Onto A Spirit,

To Give It A Home.

Open Letter

At a time when I felt as if everything was shifting around me, I created a space where I could truly be myself — AIYÊ continued to inspire me through growth, failure, grief, love, joy, stillness, and celebration. It taught me the art of resiliency through transformation and that with this change in environment, we can choose to adapt and create something more vibrant than before.

AIYÊ is a home. It is the place where I’ve returned to as myself, it holds my spirit. Embracing all the things which have moved me to this point.

It seems only fitting that I’ve chosen to explore a medium which captures both movement and memory. The earth has allowed me to form work which feels inherent.

I only hope that once shared, this extension of spirit can be felt. If welcomed into your own homes, whatever form that takes, that it helps to complete it. Let these be bodies which fill a room with care, beauty, light, and ease.
